Taking Responsibility For The Journey. You Are The Healer You Seek.

Perhaps you understand the healers we seek are within us; therefore, you, too, are deeply committed to your healing and well-being. Acknowledging that the power to heal resides within you is an empowering and transformative mindset. Here are some insights that may support your journey. Full disclosure: it takes work and can be challenging.

1. Self-awareness: Embracing self-awareness is a crucial first step in healing. Take time to reflect on your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. Understanding yourself deeper can help you identify areas where healing and growth are needed. Your practice of authentic reconnecting, such as Breathwork, helps discover why you require healing in these areas. Remember, what we don't heal, we pass on.

2. Self-compassion: Be kind and patient with yourself throughout your healing journey. Recognize that healing can be a long process and patience is required, so taking small, consistent steps is more than okay. Practice self-compassion by treating yourself with the same understanding and care you would offer a close friend.

3. Breathwork and meditation: Mindfulness and regular meditation can help you reconnect with your authentic self. These practices encourage you to be present in the moment, observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. Even a three-minute daily meditation will show results long after the practice has ceased.

4. Emotional expression: Explore healthy ways to express your emotions. Whether through journaling (after a few minutes of conscious connected breathing is my preference), any creative arts I find, or conversations with trusted individuals, allowing yourself to express and process your feelings can contribute to your healing journey.

5. Seek support: It's important to remember that healing doesn't have to be a solitary endeavour. Reach out to supportive friends, family members, or mental health professionals who can provide guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear.

6. Self-care: Prioritize self-care practices that nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Throw yourself into activities you enjoy; it's crucial to maintain a balanced diet, drink H2O, exercise, and ensure enough rest. Do a little digging into why these few things are so important, and you'll soon become mindful of them. It's almost as essential as breathing to maintain a healthy, balanced, less stressed life.

7. Setting boundaries: Establishing healthy boundaries in your relationships and daily life can contribute to your overall well-being. Learning to say no when necessary and prioritizing your needs is essential to self-healing. You may find importance in identifying where setting boundaries is a challenge.

8. Personal growth: Embrace opportunities for personal growth and learning. Both require stepping out of your comfort zone. Try different hobbies, pursue meaningful new goals, and engage in activities that inspire and challenge you. And if you decide to enjoy the hobbies of your youth, take heed: roller skating isn't 'just like riding a bike'.

Remember that healing is a unique and personal journey; chip away at it and progress at your own pace. By taking responsibility for your healing and committing to reconnecting with your authentic self, you are already on the transformative path toward restoration and renewal.
